For almost a year, the BLM has conducted an extensive study of all aspects and environmental considerations associated with the drilling plan submitted by K2O Utah on 7 November, 2011. This EA analysis by the BLM also incorporates all comments received during the public comment period which ended 30 July, 2012. The announcement by the BLM of the EA initiates a final 30 day notice period prior to the BLM issuing a Finding of No Significant Impact and the subsequent awarding of a Federal exploration permit.
