Precious metals

A soft, shiny yellow metal often used as a precious metal commodity (gold standard). Besides its widespread economic and symbolic functions, gold has many practical uses in dentistry, electronics, and other fields.
A precious shiny grayish-white transition metal. Occurs naturally in its pure, free form (native silver), as an alloy with gold and other metals. Used to make ornaments, jewellery, high-value tableware, utensils , currency coins and electrical conductors.
A rare and lustrous silvery-white metal with unique manufacturing properties. Used in electronics, dentistry, medicine, hydrogen purification, chemical applications, and groundwater treatment.
A dense, malleable, gray-white transition metal. Used in catalytic converters, laboratory equipment, electrical contacts and electrodes, platinum resistance thermometers, dentistry equipment, and jewellery.
